After more than seven years as a U.S. Air Force officer and aviator, James worked for approximately ten years as a manager in high tech manufacturing. He recognizes both as an employee and as an advisor the difficulties in understanding investments and retirement plans.

James has had a life-long passion for aviation and is an ardent supporter of our military veterans.  He and his wife Jessica were residents of Salem, Oregon for almost 20 years.  In mid-2021, they moved to Northwest Indiana so their two children would be closer to extended family.  At this time, James opened a second office with Directions Wealth Management in a new location in Valparaiso, IN!  The entire Kuxhaus family is actively involved in the community and their church.  They enjoy traveling, camping and visits to and from their extended families all over the country.
