Our Expanded Options

  • Great News: Your plan sponsor allows its plan participants the option of a Self-Directed Brokerage Account (SDBA)
  • The main purpose of a SDBA is to allow you access to additional investment options that go beyond what your employer plan offers.
  • A SDBA is managed on a discretionary basis, meaning an authorized third-party broker is actively monitoring the market and may make trades on your behalf

Here's your sign to check if you're on track with those financial wellness goals.

How the Self-Directed Brokerage Account (SDBA) Works

Since Salem Health allows for a SDBA, this lesser-known option may be a fantastic way for you to gain access to investments not offered by your core retirement plan.

SDBA holders may be able to diversify their portfolios further, with the flexibility of additional options, portfolio rebalancing, and weekly market updates1.

Mathematical trend analysis approach designed to help fund managers and investors determine when it may be appropriate to participate in the market.

A diversified portfolio does not assure a profit or protect against loss in a declining market. Rebalancing may be a taxable event. Before you take any specific action be sure to consult with your tax professional.
